Having worked in construction I have to say that the bath room Uffie is one of the hardest rooms in the house to do. First off pluming is Registered User always fun. If its old, then every thing you touch could start to leak. Joined: Tuesday, 27th of April 2010, 00:20:35 then if you don't do it right. you will not know till every thing is in Posts: 1644 place. Getting the drain to line up is a challenge. Then you will have to Viewed 17861 times do some dry wall if its not a free standing shower. Now with all that
being said. Do it. It can be fun & it will tell you what kind of man you
have there. tempers can fly or you could have the time of ur life.

I wouldn't recommend it, you have to cut the walls to get the Honey bean tub out, you have to disconnect the drain & water lines. If the tub is Registered User cast, you will either have to smash it to bits or carry a very heavy Joined: Thursday, 22nd of April 2010, 05:27:23 object that doesn't want to move. If you take it out & he gets Posts: 1717 unmotivated, World Wars have started for less. If the problem is the Viewed 10395 times surface; scratches & such, there are companies that will refinish it for
around 350.00. dollars. Just remember, I warned you! OH, & I bet I know
what will motivate him.

A new John, or a new John...hmm.. Studley Dooright I remodel bathrooms for a living, & it takes from two to seven days, Registered User depending on the choice of tile, or fiberglass shower units. If it is Joined: Saturday, 22nd of May 2010, 10:38:40 tile, at least use a fiberglass shower pan, because the build-up ones are Posts: 1753 difficult & time consuming. Use hardibacker board for the primary Viewed 8380 times wallboard, because greenboard is only mildly waterproof, & it makes a
horrible mess if ur grout joints fail.
I like to say if he is not turned on about doing it, he will be way turned
off if you 'make' him.
Ask him to serve you in a way that turns him on, & you will both benefit!

It is certainly possible to do it in one weekend. But there are Bubbles several variables which can make it a LOT more work. Is the tub steel, Registered User acrylic, fiberglass or porcelain? A steel tub would be a huge job to Joined: Monday, 14th of June 2010, 08:28:39 remove. Why are you replacing it? Often times the reason you want to Posts: 87 replace it, for example if it has been leaking, lead to other things, like Viewed 1127 times rotted framing, flooring, & bad plumbing. The easiest to remove (and
install) is an acrylic bathtub & surround. I have done one in less than a
day. One more quick tip - if you need to replace drywall, & are not
placing tile, always use ''greenboard water resistant drywall. Good luck.

Forget the weekend. It takes longer than that just to let Geezer Gums adhesives & drywall cement to cure. A full time contractor may be able to Registered User do it in 3 or 4 days. The whole job is complicated. No other room has more Joined: Friday, 23rd of April 2010, 01:53:52 details to work out. Posts: 124 Viewed 1772 times Here is a more important question, Sweetie. How much do you want to have
a happy boyfriend who is pleasant to be around? He has already given you
his answer. Which is more important? The boyfriend or the john? You could
be left without either if you push too hard.
